Sports Illustrated predicts the Buffalo Bills' final record in 2024
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills are looking for a fifth straight AFC East division title in 2024.

Under Sean McDermott, the Bills have reached playoffs in six of the last seven seasons. After nearly two decades of dominance from the New England Patriots, the AFC East officially runs through Buffalo.

But with a new season comes new challenges. The Bills have some unanswered questions they'll face in 2024, including at the wide receiver position where the Bills don't know yet if they have a go-to option for quarterback Josh Allen.

Despite the questions surrounding the Bills, Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame thinks Buffalo is set to have another solid season.

Verderame predicted this week that Buffalo will go 10-7 in 2024 with losses to the Miami Dolphins (road), Houston Texans (road), Los Angeles Rams (road), Baltimore Ravens (road), Detroit Lions (road), Kansas City Chiefs (home), and the San Francisco 49ers (home).

Verdermae has the Dolphins and Jets going 9-8 and the Patriots going 4-13, which means the thinks the Bills will win a fifth straight AFC East crown this fall.

From SI.com: The divisional slate for the Bills is difficult, but the nondivisional schedule is very challenging. Buffalo has to face both Super Bowl participants from a year ago in the Chiefs and 49ers, along with road tilts against the Rams, Texans, Seahawks, Ravens and Lions.

It's doubtful that Verderame will nail all of his predictions (and that's no slight, it's impossible to nail every prediction), but this feels about right for the Bills.

Anywhere from 12-5 to 9-8 feels likely for Buffalo. But because they're the strongest team in the division, I lean more toward 12-5 than 9-8 (even with the question marks at wide receiver).
